Case Summary
This is how a #poor farmer from #Sangli has been robbed of Rs. 8,00,000.00 by #ICICI Bank and #ICICI Prudential.
He wanted to invest Rs. 2 lakh in a fixed deposit but he was diverted to invest his money n a cashback insurance plan. He was informed in writing by the branch manager that this investment will yield him interest @15%.
Further, a sum of Rs.2-2 lakh rupees deposited by him as three installments in a single old policy was actually invested in three different policies.
A total of four policies has been issued in his name and he has received documents of only 3 policies.
Income shown in proposal forms is Rs. 8,00,000.00 per annum and despite declared income (which is actually inflated by sales employees of ICICI and actual income is not more than 4,00,000.00 ) of Rs.8,00,000.00 this client has been sold insurance policies with annual premium obligations worth Rs. 8,00,000.00
The financial underwriting seems to be completely messed up at #ICICI Prudential.
